Comaplex Minerals Corp (CMF-T)
| Comaplex is a George Fink company focused on its 3.1 million ounce Meliadine West property near the north western shore of Hudson Bay in Nunavat where it holds a 78% interest. Meliadine is a mesothermal lode gold deposit with gold mineralization found in quartz-vein stock works and laminated veins. Comaplex spent 2008 conducting underground bulk samples on Meliadine West, and a February 2009 scoping study for a combined open pit and underground scenario on both the Meliadiane West and Meliadine East properties producing 2.29 million gold ounces over a 9.5 year mine life at cash costs of $378 per gold ounce had an NPV of $194 million using $700 gold. Since the scoping study was released, Comaplex has increased the resource estimates on both Meliadine properties, with total measured and indicated resources now at 3,291,800 gold ounces, with a further 1,729,000 in the inferred category, and acquired a 100% interest in each. In April 2010 the company announced an agreement to be acquired by Agnico-Eagle on the basis of 0.15 Agnico share per Comaplex share, equivalent to $10.32 per share or $584 million on a fully diluted basis. |
