Metal Supply - Boron

Boron
Grade Unit:%WikipediaSearch KRO for advanced projects with Boron as a target metal (active KRO membership required)
Price Unit:$/lbUSGS

The USGS started providing annual boron supply data in 1976 and in 2010 started withholding US supply which comes mainly from the Boron Mine of Rio Tinto in California which produces about 1.1 million tonnes of borate which we have added for years 2011 onwards. The annual USGS reports present figures as "boron minerals" which range from 36% to 62.2% boric oxide (B2O3) content, the form on which pricing is based. To complicate matters the USGS reports Turkey supply in 3 forms including "crude ore" without specifying boric oxide content. In the annual preliminary reports it switches to another unit which is not defined and clearly smaller than the annual reports. These inconsistencies makes the supply data from the USGS unreliable.
